Welcome to Shrewsbury School

Shrewsbury is one of England's oldest and largest boys' boarding schools, standing in a hundred and fifty acres of ground set high on the banks of the River Severn and overlooking the ancient town. It remains a school committed to full boarding education, and draws together boys from across the country, while retaining local roots through dayboys and local parents. These are exciting times for Shrewsbury School. From September 2008 girls will be able to experience a Shrewsbury education as they enter the Sixth Form for the first time in the School's history.

As with any such school, there is much on offer, the extent of which can only be fully appreciated by visiting us in person; however, we hope that this website will give you something of a flavour of the place, and might encourage you to come to see us.
