Homepage - RSSH: Extraordinary run of success
The RSSH's success in the just the first half of this term has been staggering.
On 14th January we entered three teams in the annual Knole Run at Sevenoaks - one of the toughest and longest races the Hunt competes in. Our goal was to improve on our 2011 ranking of fourth place, and we were delighted when our 'A' team came third in the country.
The following Wednesday, with most of our 'A' team staying at home for training, we took top place in the Adams' Dash against Adams' Grammar and Wrekin College.
On 21st January, we took our Colts and Senior teams over to Uppingham to compete in the Midlands League fixture. Our Colts won their race with an 8-point victory over Rugby (2nd) and Uppingham (3rd); the Senior race saw Salopians in all top three places, helping Shrewsbury to a staggering 91 point win over Wellingborough (2nd) and Oundle (3rd).
Then on Wednesday 1st February we were absolutely thrilled to be placed second in the National Relays at Coventry after one of the most exciting races of several years.
This was swiftly followed by the County Championships on 4th February, in which we came away with four trophies under our arms, having triumphed in all four races - Seniors, Intermediates, Juniors and Girls.
