Coeducational Sixth Form - Introduction

Shrewsbury’s coeducational Sixth Form offers girls and boys two years of rich intellectual stimulus in the classroom, a wealth of experience and opportunity outside it, and an ideal preparation for life beyond.  Within this new intellectual landscape, the range of academic disciplines is broad, the teaching of a very high standard, and results excellent.  The facilities for teaching, sports, music, arts and drama are first class.

Shrewsbury is a school of great breadth but of high achievement; our Oxbridge entry record, averaging 20 places a year, our concert and dramatic performances in London and Edinburgh, and the results of our sporting teams at national and international level endorse that.

We are looking for boys and girls who may already have strong and marked interests and abilities but who also want to explore the breadth and variety of Sixth Form life at Shrewsbury and make a fine contribution to school life before proceeding to university and their chosen career.

Please see our Application Procedure page for more information.

Along with our Sixth Form prospectus, we also produce a Sixth Form booklet, and 'Onwards and Upwards' - published in 2011, this outlines the experiences and successes of the first three years of our co-educational Sixth Form.  All these are available from our Admissions Office.
