The Old Salopian Lodge continues to meet four times per year, three times in London and once at the Schools. The position of Worshipful Master is currently held by David Westwood (PH 78-83). Members cover an age range of over 40 years, so it is an excellent way not only of maintaining a link with the Schools, but also of meeting different generations of Old Salopians in a friendly and harmonious setting.
Our summer 2017 meeting at the Schools is scheduled for Saturday 3 June 2017, in the Club Room of the School Boathouse and will take the form of a short meeting, followed by a long lunch. The meeting will start at 11.15am, followed by a buffet lunch open to all, including children, commencing with drinks at 12.30pm. Please book via the Secretary below - further details are on the Events page of the OS Club website.
As part of our charitable activities, we operate a Lodge Bursary Fund, which is held as part of the Shrewsbury School Foundation. Through this, we are committed to supporting a Rowing Scholarship for the next six years.
Membership is open not only to old boys of the School, but also fathers of Old Salopians. It is a rule of the Grand Lodge that membership of this organisation is male only.
London meetings are held at the City University Club, 50 Cornhill, London, in February, September and November. The next one is scheduled for Tuesday 28 February, commencing at 5.00pm and followed by a dinner. Attendance is Masons only.
