Notices to Parents

Please support ‘Team Shrewsbury School’ - running the Shrewsbury Half Marathon this Sunday
The School is fielding an impressive team of almost 40 members of the Shrewsbury School community (teachers, support staff, pupils, former pupils and parents) for the Shrewsbury Half Marathon this Sunday, 22nd June. The runners will come past the School in the mid-stages of the race at around 10.30am. A 'Shrewsbury Supporters' Station' is being set up by the tennis courts on Ashton Road where a band of African drummers, the Democratic Republic of Djembe, will be playing. If any parents and friends would like to come and cheer Team Shrewsbury School on from this vantage point, do please come along. If you can't support them in person, please consider making a donation to their nominated charity, the Shrewsbury Ark:

Inter-House Athletics Tournament at the London Road Sports Centre, SY2 6PT - 1.00pm on Tuesday 24th June
The whole School will be decamping down to London Road (the athletics track at Shrewsbury College of Art and Technology) for this year's Inter-House Athletics event. Please note that it now starts at 1.00pm and not at 2.00pm as advertised in the Fasti and Salopian Week brochure. We'd love for as many parents and friends to come and spectate as possible. For those who do, please make use of the parking facilities at Shrewsbury Cricket Club, just a little further down London Road on the opposite side (postcode SY2 6PT for those using satnav). The venue itself will have no parking availability. A full programme will be available on the day but a timetable of the events is available to view and download on the website: Inter-House Athletics Tournament timetable
Facilities and refreshments will be available for spectators.

Salopian Week and Speech Day
We look forward to welcoming you to Speech Day next Saturday and to as many of the Salopian Week events as you are able to attend. As flagged up in the eNewsletter last week, please note that the Headmaster's Report to Parents and Prize Giving on Saturday will start at 11.00am (as in the Speech Day programme) and not at 11.15am as published in the Fasti. Also on Friday 27th June at 11am, the cricket match v The Saracens will involve the School 2nd XI only, and not the 1st XI. Please contact Dawn Dunn at Reception if you have any queries about any aspect of the programme: or tel. 01743 280500
