Singing Prizes and ‘An Evening of Song’, Sunday 25th February in the Maidment Auditorium

We are blessed with a great number of very fine singers at Shrewsbury School – as evidenced by last week’s performances of ‘Rebecca - The Drowned Bride’, as well as our Chapel services and concerts.  A large number of them will be taking part in the annual Singing Prizes on Sunday 25th February from 1pm (not 2pm as advertised in the Fasti) in the Maidment Auditorium.  Many of the singers will also be performing later the same day in an ‘Evening of Song’. This concert will feature some wonderful solos and ensembles, including preview items from Mozart’s ‘The Magic Flute’, which will be performed at School in April. Parents and friends are very welcome. Further details are included under ‘Forthcoming Events’ below.

Shrewsbury School's All-Night Sports Event in aid of Medic Malawi, Friday 9th February

A reminder that as the half-term draws to a close, 30 pupils and staff will be staging an all-night sponsored sports event to raise funds for Medic Malawi and the Shrewsbury School Eye Clinic. Starting at 9.00pm on Friday 9th February, they will be playing 10 sports in 10 hours - finishing at 7.00 on Saturday morning.  If you would like to sponsor them and help pay for sight-restoring work at the Eye Clinic, please visit their online giving page:
