Salopians visit Hong Kong Campus to discuss Shrewsbury life
Hong Kong residents, Shrewsbury School students and twin brothers Josh C (L6, R) and Sam C (L6, SH) were welcomed onto the schools’ sister school campus by Principal, Mr Ben Keeling, during the Easter break to explore their experience of life in the UK and the challenges they faced on arrival as they moved into boarding houses for the very first time.
"We were particularly keen on the wide range of academic options available at Shrewsbury School," Sam said. "Staff demonstrated an incredible commitment to individualisation - they have even been able to support the continuation of my Chinese language studies."
Principal Ben Keeling said: "It was a pleasure to spend time with Josh and Sam. We know that their parents and their school are enormously proud of all they have accomplished. We look forward to hearing more of their success and happiness in the future.”
Notices to Parents
We have decided after looking at all the available guidance from National Governing Bodies of sport and the Department for Education, that we will unfortunately not be allowing spectators of sport onsite at Shrewsbury School until the 17th of May, which is in line with the road maps set out by the aforementioned bodies.
We do not take this situation lightly; it has been absolutely fantastic to see competitive sport being played again onsite; however, as I am sure you will agree the safety and well-being of both pupils and staff at Shrewsbury remains our number one priority.
You can keep in touch with much of our sport through the ‘live’ streaming of various cricket matches, links to these matches, and sporting updates are posted on our Twitter page @shrewsburySport
