Henry Kennedy (I 2009-14) brings his Conducting Magic to a Charity Concert (St John's Smith Square, London)

Friday 15 June 2018 at 19:30

Henry writes: I will be conducting on Friday 15th June 2018 at 7:30pm at St John’s Smith Square, London. The Tonerl Symphony Orchestra is an upcoming orchestra made up of all the top musicians from the London music colleges. The programme is to include Beethoven’s 3rd Piano Concerto (Andrei Iliushkin- piano) and Bruckner’s 3rd Symphony. While the Concerto is very much part of the standard repertoire, the Symphony (sometimes known as the Wagner Symphony) is only now emerging from years of neglect. This emergence will see the often misunderstood and neglected Bruckner finally taking his rightful eminence amongst composers.

We will be performing entirely in aid of Parkinson’s UK. All the musicians and solo artists will be waiving their fee in respect of the charity. With this in mind, we would be very appreciative of any support you could give to our concert.
