Wednesday 12 December 2018 at 19:30

Snow Queens is Juice's new wintery programme full of snow, frost and ice featuring new works by composers such as Tarik O’Regan, Emily Hall, Benjamin Tassie, Alison Willis and Chris Warner. It also features new Juice arrangements of ancient carols such as Coventry Carol, Hollyberry Song and Down in Yon Forest, renaissance lute songs, folk songs and winter pop/rock classics such as Kate Bush’s December will be Magic Again and Judy Collins’ Winter Sky.

The performance at Shrewsbury School is part of a launch tour for the Snow Queens album released on Resonus Classics. Other performances include London’s Kings Place on 9th December 2018 and the York Early Music Christmas Festival on 11th December 2018.

"Juice’s masterful vocal interpretations and a diverse song selection go beyond the act of exploring and deconstructing for the sake of exploring and deconstructing. These talented female vocalists are charismatic and sophisticated musical storytellers, creating situations, characters and environments by interweaving solos and flawless harmonies. With other percussive and verbal interplay, they make you feel like you are part of the work, and sometimes, breathing right along with them." WNPR

We are delighted to be welcoming Juice Vocal Ensemble to Shrewsbury School, and hope that you will be able to join us for what promises to be a sparkling programme of music.

Tickets for the concert are £15.00 each and include a glass of festive fizz in the interval.
