‘Team Shrewsbury School’, made up of current and former pupils, staff and parents, will once again be pounding the streets of our lovely town to raise money for two very worthy causes.
One of their chosen charities is the Andrew Grene Foundation, https://andrewgrene.org/ which supports a school that is carrying out incredible work with children in Haiti following the devastating earthquake in 2010 and is also transforming the lives of over 1,500 Haitian women through a microfinance project. It was co-founded by a former Churchill’s and Ridgemount parent, Tim Perutz.
The other charity they will be supporting is Medic Malawi, which funds a hospital in Mtunthama, rural Malawi, together with a clinic for feeding the malnourished, an orphanage for 70 children, and the Shrewsbury School Eye Clinic.
