An evening of words and music celebrating Charles and Emma Darwin, performed by the Musicians of Shrewsbury School.
Far from being someone who saw no value in the power of music, Charles Darwin was fascinated by its very existence - and even more so, its effect on human beings, both physical and emotional.
His wife Emma was an accomplished musician, and his children enjoyed their music-making as well. Charles himself loved attending concerts, and our programme will reflect some of the composers with whom he most associated his love of music.

Beethoven – Trio for Clarinet, Cello and Piano
Beethoven – An die ferne Geliebte
