Global Schools' Running Race

The results of our first ever Global Schools’ Running Race are now in. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to our virtual race, which has seen runners of all ages unite across the globe. 17 countries, sensational race results and, above all, a real sense of togetherness as we’ve shared our enjoyment of this wonderful sport.

Given the incredible response worldwide, we certainly plan to host this event annually and will be delighted to welcome you back next year. In the meantime, we have great pleasure in sharing the results with you:

Introducing our first ever global running race for pupils of all ages!

This challenge can be enjoyed by everyone either at school or in-remote; a chance to participate on a truly global scale! We're excited to have interest in the race from a variety of school communities around the world and hope that this can be a really unique opportunity to take part in a sporting event that connects runners from all over the globe!

Adults of all ages can join in as well, by entering their full names into the category (19+) and listing their linked school.

Race categories:

  • U9 distance: 2km
  • U13 distance: 5km
  • U15 distance: 5km
  • U19 distance: 5km
  • Age 19+ distance: 5km

Runners are invited to pick their own route, across any terrain, but this must cover the precise distance for the age category and should be relatively flat in the interest of fairness. Participants simply need to record and submit their race time (use of Strava not required). Prizes will be awarded to the overall winners of each age category (male & female).

To register, please book your place via our Eventbrite booking page, selecting the relevant age category:

The challenge should be completed any time between midday 27th February and midday 21st March 2021.

All race times must be submitted no later than midday 21st March 2021, to Kirsten Webb at the following email address, please include full name, race category and school name in your email:

The all-important results will be announced and prizes awarded during the final week of term.

Run hard, run well and ENJOY!
