In a thrilling final between the top crews in the country, the Senior Girls’ 1st Quad won silver in the Sherriff Cup for Championship Quadruple Sculls at the National Schools’ Regatta.

Their achievement represents a major milestone for girls’ rowing at Shrewsbury and opens a new chapter in the annals of the Royal Shrewsbury School Boat Club, as the girls now join the boys in reaching the podium at the highest national level.

"Words can not describe how proud I am of these four," tweeted their coach, Mr Reynolds. "What a way to celebrate ten years of co-education at Shrewsbury School. A special mention to the rest of the squad who have been instrumental in this crew's success."
