Charity record beaten by £5000

Friday 27 June 2014

Mrs Drew sent the following message to all staff and pupils yesterday…

Thanks to your time and generosity and your sporting, musical, artistic, bucket-holding, performance and baking skills, we have not only passed the £30,000 we raised for charity last year, but hit £35,000 this morning.

Over £1000 has now been raised by the Half Marathon: £500 for BEAT (supporting those with eating disorders), and the rest for The Ark.

There is still the collection from Wednesday’s Pop Concert to count up, and Friday's Gala Concert, and the retiring collection from 'Journey's End', and the cake sale on Sports Day.

And next term's totals are already clocking up: £350 already from Sonia Walther's Sky Dive in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust, which she's doing in the holiday.

Very best of luck to her and to Dom Dootson and Charlie Godman, who will be running 346km in 6 days, starting at Hadrian's Wall and finishing at Ben Nevis, for Water Aid:

Keep the evening of Thursday 11th September free and come and hear the true story of 'The Atlantic Boys' whom we supported at House Singing. Last time they brought their boat; this time they've got a film.

Have a brilliant summer, and thank you so much on behalf of the 24 charities who've benefited from your kindness.
