Shrewsbury School shooting has experienced an encouraging increase in popularity over the last year and some prominent talent is emerging. Teams have been entered into the British Schools leagues this term and five members trialled for the British Schools touring team. Although unsuccessful this time around, the standards have risen significantly and there is strong promise for next year.
Of note are scores from Jonathan Shaw (Ch LVI) who shot 99 ex 100 in a recent league match, and John Halsey (SH UVI) who shot a 98 in a shoulder to shoulder match against Ellesmere College.
The School team heads off to Sedbergh for a match just after half term; Possibly the first time the schools have competed against each other shoulder to shoulder.
