Inaugural 'Young OS' event a fantastic success

Tuesday 1 May 2012

On Saturday 21st April, The Salopian Club held its first Young OS event at Bunga Bunga in London. The event was a fantastic success with about 100 old boys and girls venturing down to Battersea’s number one late night venue.

The evening kicked off with a free glass of champagne for all our guests and it wasn’t long until the party was in full flow, and there were certainly a few things to celebrate, including a recent engagement, and of course the recent promotion of the 2nd XI OS football team.

The brilliant turnout also enabled us to donate some money to the charity Help For Heroes by sponsoring OS, Kit Schutzer-Weissmann, who this summer is attempting to cycle from London to Istanbul. A fantastic challenge and one we are proud to support. If you would like to sponsor Kit please visit the following website: http://www.justgiving.com/KitSchutzer-Weissmann.

With a good mix of ages at the event, ranging from recent leavers to those who haven’t graced the Shrewsbury School site for over 10 years, it seems there is plenty of opportunity for many more Young OS events to come, and we look forward to revealing details of the next get together with you all shortly.

Floreat Salopia.
