Junior Essay Prize 2019

Thursday 6 June 2019

This week saw the much anticipated announcement of this year's Junior Essay Prize competition...

Dr David Gee, schoolmaster at Shrewsbury for over 50 years, kindly agreed to be this year's judge and received six anonymous shortlisted scripts over the recent Exeat.

Covering a wide range of syllabus extension areas from elite sport, journeys to Mars and responses to poetry, Dr Gee was suitably impressed with the craft and quality of this year's essays.

Many congratulations to Eustacia Feng (M 4) for being chosen as this year's winning entry. Eustacia will receive her prize on Speech Day alongside the other school academic prizewinners.
