Surgeon Thomas Stratford Bradburn, H.M.S. "President" (Armd. Cars). Royal Navy.
School House, left in 1899 for Hertford College, Oxford, then studied medicine at Birmingham. Commissioned in the Navy at the outbreak of the War, he served for seven months in the North Sea and then spent a year with Mine-Sweepers in the North Sea and Arctic Ocean, being decorated with the Order of St Anne – with Swords. In December 1916 he was in a destroyer that was blown up.
He died in the United Kingdom of illness contracted on active service, 8th March 1918, aged 37.
