OS Gathering to Celebrate 'The Drowned Bride'

Thursday 23 August 2018

Legend has it that Greyfriars Bobby, a Skye terrier, refused to move from his master’s grave. Similar loyalty was exhibited by about twenty five Old Salopians and friends of Shrewsbury School who met on Thursday 23rd August prior to the Drowned Bride, the Shrewsbury School musical in Edinburgh, for a pre-performance drink at the Greyfriars Bobby pub, perfectly situated almost opposite the performance venue. Those able to come on to the show were not disappointed and added their numbers to an audience of over 100. Salopians of all ages were represented and pronounced the show, with music from John Moore and directed by Helen Brown, in the highest traditions of the long series of School musicals.
