Gold medals were awarded to both Isaac Dai (S) and Boris Kwok (Ch), Kelvin Tam (O) won Silver and Naveen Hari (PH) won Bronze II. (They are pictured left to right above). Congratulations to them all.
Isaac’s achievement is particularly impressive, as he did well enough to finish in the top 50 out of 1,680 candidates nationwide - a feat he also managed to achieved last year. This qualifies him for the second round of the competition and takes him a step closer to gaining selection for the UK team in this year's International Physics Olympiad.
Isaac has already recently been one of five students selected from schools across the country to represent the UK at the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics. The competition took place in Phuket City, Thail and in November.
He has also just received an offer from Cambridge University to study Natural Sciences.
