RSSBC: Fours' Head of the River

Wednesday 14 November 2018

Seven Shrewsbury crews competed at this year’s Fours' Head of the River. They were among 483 crews racing for honours on the Thames Tideway.

The first off were the J16s’ quad in the Junior category (pictured above). The crew held their own against strong opposition and dealt extremely well with the challenge of steering the Tideway.

The Senior boys split into two coxed fours, a quad and a coxless four. The strongest result came from the top coxed four, which finished in an impressive second place. The second coxed four came 19th and the coxless four came 6th in their event. The quad finished 12th in their event.

The Senior girls raced in two coxless quads and finished an impressive third and ninth out of 23 crews.
