Stephen Leach (M LVI) makes a dream debut for Worcester 2nd XI

Stephen Leach - Pre-Season Cricket Festival 201: About to catch the ball, by Paul PattendenStephen Leach, in our 1st XI squad as well as Shrewsbury Cricket Club's 1st XI, made a dream winning start in his debut 2nd XI match for Worcestershire CCC. Stephen playing in the North Division 2nd XI Trophy Match: Worcs 2nd XI v Derby 2nd XI at Kidderminster May 10, 2011 (12:00 local | 11:00 GMT) made an unbeaten 54 to see Worcestershire home in the one day match. Stephen has been in fine form this season and has already scored two centuries in accumulating nearly 400 runs for the school 1st XI.

Stephen's older brother Joe is a former Shrewsbury School 1st XI captain and a present member of Shrewsbury Cricket Club's 1st XI squad and Leeds & Bradford UCCC.  Joe is currently on a summer contract with Worcestershire CCC, as is ALex Blofield, another former Shrewsbury School captain and present member of Shrewsbury Cricket Club's 1st XI.

All three boys have benefited greatly from the excellent facilities and coaching, led by ex Worcestershire CCC player Paul Pridgeon, provided at Shrewsbury School.
