Christmas came slightly early in Kingsland Hall this year, with the launch of another highly successful Christmas Food File! And just to help get the students into the Christmas spirit, our catering team rustled up a mouth-watering array of festive treats for everyone to sample.
“Christmas On A Stick” consisted of chunks of succulent turkey with homemade stuffing along with pigs in blankets with cranberry & cinnamon chutney, served on yes, you guessed it, a stick! Jo, our wonderful pastry Chef, outdid herself yet again with a wonderful range of Christmas desserts: mince meat slice with crumble topping, festive chocolate brownies, rocky road with marsh mallows, white chocolate Ganache and shortbread stars with cranberries.
With so many tasty treats on display, students and staff alike were in a bit of a dither about what to choose to eat for lunch! The empty plates and platters that were left over spoke volumes though!
