KH Festive Food File

Tuesday 10 December 2013

It’s beginning to taste a lot like Christmas!

This week we hosted our annual Festive Food File here in the dining room and I think that judging by all of the “oohs” and “ahhs” it has been our best one yet!

The weather was pretty appalling and the students all arrived cold and shivering after trudging across site to get to KH for lunch.  But the shivers soon turned to smiles as they were met by the wonderful Christmas-evoking aromas.  Needless to say, they lost no time tucking into the platters of goodies!

Our team of talented chefs outdid themselves once again by cooking up a range of festive-themed treats for all of the students and staff to sample.  Goodies such as Festive Slice, Christmas on a Stick, Sausage & Cranberry Spiced Snowballs, Festive Crumble and Sundried Tomato & Blue Cheese Muffins were heaped on platters for all to enjoy.

For those with a sweet tooth, there were small slabs of marbled chocolate to pick at.
We do enjoy our Food Files, and we hope that this one has helped put everyone into a festive mood.    Soon it will be time for the Christmas Dinner and farewells as the students head home for the Christmas break.

Everyone here at KH wishes you all a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
