New Careers Fellow appointed from January 2014

Wednesday 18 December 2013

Dr Kate Daubney has been appointed as the new Careers Fellow and is scheduled to take up her post in mid-January, 2014.  Dr Daubney comes to Shrewsbury from the higher education sector, where she has been most recently a careers adviser at the LSE and Imperial College Business School, and before that an academic and a university admissions tutor.   Kate will be working with the Careers Chairman, David Chance (O 1970-75) and the School Head of Careers, Dymphna Nightingale to further develop careers advice and support for all Salopians.

Kate has worked on career development issues with everyone from teenagers to mid-career professionals, and says, ‘Young people face many challenges in making good choices about their futures, and I'm really looking forward to bringing what I have learned about the working world - both as a careers adviser and a professional in other areas myself - to helping current and Old Salopians in person, by email and by Skype, wherever you are in the world.’
