During practice in the morning their car proved to be faster than the old car from the previous year, but the reliability needs improving.

In the races in the afternoon involving 40 cars from all three age groups – Formula 24 (11-16 year olds), Formula 24+ (17-25) and Corporate Cars including Landrover Jaguar – the boys held their own. As this was their first time in the car and on a race track, they managed to complete the race time of 80 minutes and finished in the middle of the field.

As the only Shropshire school taking part in this National Competition, the Third Formers were a credit to the School.
