Oliver Westbury (S 2013-15) selected to play for MCC Schools at Lord’s

Tuesday 18 August 2015

Oliver Westbury – who last term became the first player at Shrewsbury School since James Taylor to score 1,000 runs in a season – has been selected to represent MCC Schools in their annual match against the England Schools Cricket Association at Lord’s on Tuesday 8th September.

During the course of the year, the MCC has played against 250 schools, so Oliver has been selected from a pool of more than 2,500 schoolboys.

After the match itself, Oliver can also look forward to a dinner in the iconic Long Room at Lord’s.

Last month Oliver was also selected to play for an England Development Programme Invitational XI against Australia Under-19s.
