After receiving three five-star reviews at the Edinburgh Festival, the revival of 'The Bubble' has now received backing to be performed in London - an anonymous sponsor who saw the performance has come forward to enable it to be shown in London.
"A benevolent but anonymous sponsor who saw The Bubble in Edinburgh has made the whole thing possible," said Shrewsbury School's Peter Fanning, who directed the show. "We are extremely grateful to him. It will give us a chance to take the production back to the city in which the plot is based."
The Bubble was written by Peter Hankin and Julian Roach, with music by our Director of Music John Moore.
The satirical operetta is based around a huge financial scam in 1720 and won praise from the Edinburgh critics for its contemporary relevance, particularly its references to the bonus culture.
There will be 2 performances on Saturday 9th January at the Britten Theatre in the Royal College of Music, SW1 - at 2.30pm and 7.30pm. There really will not be another chance to see this outstanding production!
