Home v Oswestry - Won 8-0

Due to a netball match taking place at the same time, the hockey team had its usual core of committed players, but also a number of girls who played hockey for the first time this year, which was encouraging. A good performance by Arabella Midwood was promising for the future. It was clear from the beginning that Shrewsbury were going to dominate, but more importantly, they were playing very good hockey. It wasn't long before Shrewsbury were on the score sheet and by half time were 4-0 up. Goals from Elle Gurden, Portia Hibbert and Arabella Midwood. Shrewsbury continued with their good play and the result finished 8-0, with Hebe Dickins also getting on the score sheet and Ellie Hill getting a hat trick. Elle Gurden's third goal was officially after the final whistle, so she is still looking for her first hat trick of the season.
