Home v 6th Form College – Drew 1-1

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the 6th Form College did not have a goalkeeper for this match. Shrewsbury offered College the boys 1st XI Keeper Ben Bradshaw.
During the warm up, Shrewsbury's keeper Paige Walford injured her foot. The situation was now difficult, but dedicated coach Mr Cook stepped up to play! Shrewsbury really piled on the pressure and Ben Bradshaw was kept very busy, saving shot after shot. Suddenly the College got a break and wrong-footed Mr Cook as Shrewsbury, despite having all the play went into half time 1-0 down. Shrewsbury dominated the second half and were awarded a number of short corners, hit some amazing shots but Ben was having the game of his life. Mr Cook made a couple of saves (well done Sir), but really all the play was in the 6th Form College half. After many, many shots on target, Shrewsbury were finally rewarded with a goal. The game was very one sided, but thanks to some great goal keeping finished 1-1. Player of the Match: Ellie Hill.
