'Harldy a Scholar' gets a 5-star review from The Times Literary Supplement on Amazon

Ken was perhaps one of Shrewsbury's finest footballers. He played for Oxford and then was part of the Pegasus side (Oxford and Cambridge combined) that won the Amateur cup in front of over 100,000 at Wembley. He is now 88 years old and looks after Biddie his 90 year old wife who has Alzheimers in their House in Shoreham-by-Sea, near to Lancing College where Ken was a housemaster, coached football and taught English for many years.

His autobiographical book 'Hardly a Scholar' (with a forward by Ted Maidment) is available from Amazon. It is well worth a read if just for the chapter on life in Ridgemount in the 1930s! If you like football and sea fishing it is even more up your street!
