Shrewsbury School

Naming & Recognition

Naming

Shrewsbury School has a tradition of naming buildings, rooms, sports facilities, scholarships and bursaries and more to remember in perpetuity a benefactor, master, relative or close friend.

Gifts over £100,000, which represent at least 50% of a capital project, will enable the donor to name the structure. The donor will also be asked to have their name placed on the Donor Wall in Alington Hall. The Foundation reserves the right to add and remove names based on exceptional circumstances. Shrewsbury School will respect the wishes of those donors who wish to remain anonymous.

Please do contact us if you would like to consider this so that it can be discussed with you in more detail.

Recognition

Shrewsbury School Foundation is hugely grateful to its donors for their generous support and strives to recognise their donations.  Below are our levels of naming and recognition.

  • Member (over £1,000)
  • Fellow (over £10,000)
  • Charter Fellow (over £50,000)
  • Founder Fellow (over £100,000)
  • Benefactor (over £250,000)
  • Patron (over £1,000,000)

All those who have donated £10,000 or more to the Foundation will be invited to have their name placed on the Donor Wall in the Alington Hall.

Charter Fellows and Founder Fellows, whose cumulative giving totals more than £50,000 and £100,000 respectively, are placed on separate walls in Alington Hall.

Shrewsbury School will respect the wishes of donors who wish to remain anonymous.
