Following the huge success of last year's inaugural event, we're very much looking forward to hosting the Shrewsbury FoodbankPLUS Christmas Fair once again this year.
There'll be loads of stalls selling all sorts of lovely high-quality gifts, food and local produce.
This is a wonderful community event, with the Shrewsbury School Parents' Association, pupils from the Global Social Leaders Group and staff of FoodbankPLUS all working together with local stallholders from across Shropshire to raise vitally needed funds for our local Foodbank - which is a lifeline for many of the most vulnerable people in the local community. (Click here to see a news piece about last year's Fair.)
Entry to the Christmas Fair is £5 for adults, which includes a glass of mulled wine or hot drink plus a mince pie. (Free entry for children.)
The Fair takes place in Quod (the Sixth Form Common Room) and will be opened by Leo and Jules Winkley at 11am.
Please enter the School Site via the Porthill Road entrance and follow the signs. Directions to the School and a map of the School Site can be found here: Directions and map
Shrewsbury Foodbank is believed to be the third oldest in the country, opening in 1997. Foodbank PLUS in Shrewsbury is different, though. Providing a unique range of services, including money advice, 'journey to work' lifeskills courses, cookery courses and a toddler group, it offers a holistic approach that helps people for the long term.
