Presented by: Professor Dorian Haskard
Dorian Haskard FMedSci is Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and Rheumatology at Imperial College London. His research over forty years has explored the mechanisms underlying blood clots, heart attacks and strokes, which together top the league table of the global burden of disease.
The talk will move from the simplistic concept of furred up arteries to the cellular and molecular bases of arterial inflammation and how these highlight affordable preventive options, including the repurposing of an old-fashioned proprietary medicine.
