Admissions
Welcome to your first step in joining one of the leading co-educational boarding and day schools.
Shrewsbury is one of the great schools of England, and has been ever since its royal foundation in 1552 by King Edward VI.
Shrewsbury is a popular choice for pupils across the UK and overseas and each year we only admit 130 pupils into the Third Form at the age of 13; a small number join our Fourth Form a year later, at the start of the two-year GCSE course. Our Sixth Form (Year 12) attracts pupils from a variety of other schools, and our intake at this level comprises about 30 boys and 30 girls.
Most families begin their journey with Shrewsbury 3 years prior to starting at the school and our Admissions Calculator below can help you begin this process.
I’ve really enjoyed my time at Shrewsbury School, I can’t imagine what would have happened if I didn’t join. I wouldn’t change anything about my time here.
Nick, Former Pupil
