Shrewsbury
Old Salopians aged 18 to 85 gather at City Drinks

The Annual General Meeting of the Salopian Club followed by City Drinks were once again held at the Cavalry and Guards Club on Piccadilly.

It is a truly splendid venue, and we are very fortunate to be able to host out flagship event there thanks to the historic links between Shrewsbury and the regiments of the Cavalry and Guards. Particular thanks go to Captain Rob Cross (S 2008-13) of the 1st Battalion the Welsh Guards who was our sponsor, fresh from his record-breaking row across the Atlantic at the end of last year. The event attracts Old Salopians of all ages, from 2025 leavers to those who left the School in the late 1950s.

In recent years it has been encouraging to see an increase in the number of young OS attending. This year out of 250 signed up 180 were under 40. It is however important to say that Old Salopians of every vintage are equally welcome! We are booked in for next year on November 11th.
