A networking event for Salopians working in insurance

The latest informal professional networking evening was for Old Salopians and Shrewsbury parents working in insurance.

The Salopian Club and the Futures Department have already organised informal drinks for Salopians in finance, property and law. It's an opportunity for younger OS to make contacts and get careers advice, whilst those more established in their careers can extend their professional networks and enjoy a drink with others from the same industry.

The event took place at the Star Tavern in Belgravia with leavers from 2022 -to 1989 present.

With an extensive programme of events and an ever-expanding number of people on our online platform Salopian Connect, the Salopian Club aims to ensure 'Shrewsbury for Life' means practical support at every stage of an OS's career.

The next networking event will be a dinner at the East India Club for Salopians working in finance. The guest speaker will be Mark Austin CBE (O 1987-92) one of the principal architects of the reform of the UK's markets in recent years.
