Students Excel in Physics Competition

Pupils in the Lower Sixth recently took part in the British Physics Olympiad’s Senior (BPhO) Physics Challenge.
This is a traditional paper-based competition and is aimed at pupils who have taken part in extensive preparation and enjoy engaging in problem-solving within Physics. The aim of the competition is for pupils to apply their knowledge of fundamental physics concepts to novel situations.
We are pleased that Kaisei T and Yuta F both achieved Gold awards which places them in the top 7% of students nationally who took the paper.
Both engage in Physics outside the classroom and regularly challenge themselves by accessing the BPhO bank of past paper questions. Their award is a reflection of their long-term commitment to both Physics and their learning in general.
