Shrewsbury School is seeking an outstanding Health Centre Manager to lead and develop our 24-hour Health Centre, a vital part of pastoral care in our thriving co-educational boarding and day school. This is an exciting opportunity for an experience Registered General Nurse (RGN) to combine clinical expertise with strategic leadership, delivering exceptional healthcare provision and promoting pupil wellbeing at the highest level.

The role will report to, and work closely with, the Deputy Head (Pastoral), ensuring that the delivery of medical care is co-ordinated with the overall delivery of pastoral care across the School.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, proactive and an experienced leader with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You will have proven leadership and team management skills, a strong understanding of clinical governance and safeguarding, experience working with young people, excellent communication, organisational and decision-making abilities and the ability to stay calm and resilient under pressure. The post comes with an excellent package and offers an exciting opportunity to join a unique family of schools providing world class education.

We are seeking a passionate, experienced and motivated Nursery Lead Educator to join our early years team. The successful candidate will lead and support the delivery of high quality childcare and early years education. Leadership Team Assistant

Permanent, Full Time during term time, plus two weeks

£27,500 – £29,000 per annum depending on experience

Shrewsbury School is seeking to appoint a highly organised and proactive Leadership Team Assistant to provide comprehensive support to allocated members of the Leadership Team. This is a pivotal role within the School, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the effective running of pastoral, safeguarding, compliance, co curricular, and whole school operations, in a busy independent boarding school environment.

The role will provide dedicated support to the Senior Deputy Head, Deputy Head (Pastoral) and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), and Deputy Head (Co-Curricular). The successful candidate will be discreet, efficient and forward-thinking, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage sensitive information with the utmost professionalism and confidentiality.

A full induction programme is provided for all new members of staff, in addition to a programme of continuous professional development.

Sports Coach – Goalkeeper

Sports Coach – Goalkeeper

Shrewsbury School seeks to appoint a casual Sports Coach - Goalkeeper. We are looking for candidates who hold a UEFA B Goalkeeping Licence and have a first aid qualification (although we can provide this with in-house training).

Ideally you will have experience of working with young people, be passionate about sport with the ability to hold engaging sports coaching sessions. The successful candidate will plan and conduct high-quality goalkeeper training sessions for players aged 14-18 of all skill levels. Further details can be found in the job description.

Shrewsbury School has its owns Sports Pay Scale. Rates of pay are dependent upon qualifications and experience which will be discussed at interview.

In addition, you can have use of the school sports and library facilities and lunch in Kingsland House when coaching.

Leisure Assistant

Leisure Assistant

This is a part-time position working 18 hours per week, during term time and school holidays, with a mix of days, early evenings and weekends.

Our Leisure Assistants play a really important role in ensuring our pupils and members have a safe and enjoyable time utilising our Cricket Centre, Swimming Pool, Sports Hall, Synthetic Pitches, Golf Simulator, Fitness Suite and Racquets Facilities.

The role requires excellent attention to detail, an engaging personality and the ability to complete a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ). Working within a fun and vibrant environment we are looking for a team player with bags of enthusiasm. You’ll be surrounded by friendly and passionate colleagues working together to create an outstanding experience for our pupils and members.

The rate of pay for this role will be £12.81 per hour, and in addition we offer generous benefits including fully funded training and development (including NPLQ and Sports Facilities Customer Service Practices), enhanced holiday entitlement and pension contributions, life insurance, school lunch on shift when the kitchens are operational, free car parking, free use of school facilities when not in use by pupils (library, swimming pool, gym, tennis courts, squash courts) and access to a cycle to work scheme.

Main Purpose Of Role

The Cleaning Assistant provides an efficient, effective and high quality domestic and cleaning service.

Level Of Position

The post holder will report to the Cleaning Supervisor who is responsible for day-to-day Line Management including annual reviews, training and development and health and safety.
