CREST Award Success for Shrewsbury Pupils

June 26th 2026
Two Shrewsbury School pupils have recently received CREST Awards: Indigo E (III, EDH) achieved Bronze and James W (LVI, O) achieved Gold.
Indigo produced a detailed and well researched poster on how children’s lives in the future can be healthy, as part of the British Science Week Poster competition. James produced a 5000 word report evaluating the effectiveness of different AI models on recognising handwritten digits.
CREST Awards are run by the British Science Association and encourage pupils to get hands-on with projects in STEM. A Gold award represents a 70 hour project whilst both Bronze and Gold require pupils to plan, research and deliver a project in STEM.
Congratulations to both Indigo and James on their achievements.
