Shrewsbury School Foundation was created in 1965, making it one of the oldest independent school development offices in the country.
The Foundation's charitable purposes are firstly to provide bursarial support for qualified means tested pupils who otherwise could not attend Shrewsbury School. It also exists to fund a number of prioritised capital projects designed to keep Shrewsbury School at the forefront of independent education worldwide.
In the past 10 years through the generosity of Old Salopians, parents and friends, the Foundation has funded the Gemini Pool, Cricket Centre, Worth Fives Courts, Yale Boat House, Hodgson Hall and Chatri Design Centre. At present Shrewsbury School is conducting a complete overhaul of the Moser Library which will be formally opened at the end of September. None of this would have been possible without the kindness of our donors and loyal annual supporters.
