The Salopian Arts Club is one of the most active and popular societies.

The sublime choral music of The Epiphany Carol Service and the joyful sing-a-long cabaret of the Open Mic night are two of the highlights of the Salopian calendar. These are supplemented by one off-events including a private tour of Dulwich Picture Gallery, architectural walks around Oxford and London, theatre trips and cultural outings.

At most of our events entertainment is provided by the incredibly talented Old Salopian community: the choir is made up of volunteers who love to sing in some of the country's most atmospheric churchesand the performers at the Open Mic are all Old Salopians some, but not all, of whom are professional musicians.

We love to support Old Salopians working in the arts with subsidised theatre trips or any other promotional opportunities we can offer.

Other Societies

The Wolfenden Society is the Salopian Club's LGBTQ+ group. Every year members attend a social event run jointly with societies from similar schools. If you would like to join in please email [email protected]

We also have a fledgling Salopian Natural History Society for those who are interested in the natural world and environmental issues. So far events have been based around a talk and interaction with the School's eco committee, but there are plans for field trips and volunteering outside.

For information on all our clubs and societies please visit Salopian Connect or email [email protected]
