Shrewsbury School delegates enjoyed a successful trip to the Manchester High School for Girls MUN Conference.

With an early start on Saturday, Miss von Kuk and Miss Stockburn took eight delegates representing the DPRK (North Korea) to the annual MUN conference at Manchester High School for Girls.

The students discussed the impact of AI in fields such as health and economics. Our delegation revelled in the challenge of representing a difficult country and was rewarded for their efforts: Shrewsbury School won "Commended delegation".

Many students were also merited for their achievements: Chelsey D (MSH, V) was awarded the best young delegate in the UNHCR.

The following delegates were highly commended for their contributions to the discussions: Matthew W (SH, V) (Political), George R (SH, V) (WHO), and Liam G (Rt, UVI) (Human Rights). Furthermore, Scarlett S (G, UVI) won "commended delegate" in the disarmament committee, and Tony G (R, UVI) (Security Council) and Dason T (R (Historical) received special mention for their efforts.
