Join Our Webinar on Degree Apprenticeships

Degree Apprenticeships are becoming an increasingly popular pathway for Salopians, offering the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience while studying towards a degree. 

On Tuesday 11th November at 7.30pm, Head of Futures, Chris Wain, will host a webinar exploring this exciting route into higher education and employment. He will be joined by two young professionals who are nearing completion of their Degree Apprenticeship programmes, each offering first-hand insight into life as an apprentice. 

The discussion will cover application processes, the challenges and rewards of combining work with study, financial considerations, long-term progression, and the benefits of exploring Degree Apprenticeships, as an alternative to traditional university routes. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the session. 

Joining Mr Wain will be: 

• Ollie (OS 2021) – after taking a gap year, Ollie began a Degree Apprenticeship in Financial Services with JP Morgan, where he is now in his fourth and final year. His programme, accredited by the University of Exeter, has offered the ideal balance of academic study and practical workplace experience. 

• Noah – following completion of his A Levels in 2021, Noah is currently training to become a Solicitor with FBC Manby Bowdler, Noah is in the fifth year of his apprenticeship and has gained experience across wills and probate, agricultural property, and family law. 

Both Ollie and Noah are looking forward to sharing their experiences, advice, and reflections on why a Degree Apprenticeship has been the right choice for them.
