Jessie D Wins Midlands Regional Final of ARTiculation

Jessie D (UVI, Q) achieved outstanding success last week after being named winner of the Midlands regional final of ARTiculation.
The event is a prestigious national public-speaking competition that celebrates young people’s engagement with art, culture and critical thinking.
As part of the competition, Jessie delivered a compelling and assured ten-minute presentation on a chosen artwork, demonstrating exceptional analytical insight, clarity of thought and confidence in public speaking. Competing against pupils from nine other schools across the region, including Rugby School and Cheltenham Ladies’ College, Jessie’s presentation stood out for its depth, originality and articulate delivery.
Accompanied to the regional final by History of Art Teacher Ms Winkley, Jessie impressed the judging panel to secure first place and, with it, a coveted spot in the national Grand Final. This will take place at the National Gallery in March, where finalists from across the country will present in one of the world’s most iconic art venues.
The School congratulates Jessie on this exceptional success and looks forward to supporting her as she prepares for the Grand Final.
