A Brilliant Week for Girls’ Hockey at Shrewsbury

It has been an excellent week of girls’ hockey at Shrewsbury, with strong performances across all age groups.

Our U16 team enjoyed a superb run of form, recording impressive victories over Ellesmere College, Shrewsbury High School and Moreton Hall. Their success secures a well-deserved place in the Midlands Finals, a fantastic achievement and an exciting opportunity to test themselves further.

The U18s faced a powerful King’s Chester side and, despite the result, produced encouraging passages of play that provide plenty to build on as the season develops.

Meanwhile, the U15s showed outstanding determination in a hard-fought 4–1 cup loss against Solihull. Their resilience and fighting spirit right up to the final whistle was a credit to the team.

With so many positives to take from the week, there is much to celebrate and plenty to look forward to for Shrewsbury’s hockey teams in the months ahead.
