Shrewsbury
U15A Football Cup Success

After the U15 Shrewsbury School football team had conceded two penalty kicks in the first half.
The first Shrewsbury School goal came (just before half time) from a well worked cross from Fin M (IV, SH) and finished at the back post by Hari A (IV, SH).
The second was a last-minute peach that was going in the moment it left the foot of Jasper H (III, S) - what a strike!
Captain Alex D’s (IV, I) goal in the first half of extra time almost completed a remarkable comeback, but Repton equalised shortly before the final whistle meaning the keenly contested derby was to be settled from the spot.
With Tristan H (III, Rt), Jasper H (III, S), Fin M (IV, SH) all scoring with ice-cold precision, Repton missing one and Jake A (IV, S) saving another, it was left to Gurj A (IV, R) to clinch a place in Round 4 of the U15 ISFA National Cup competition.
Congratulations to all squad members (which included three boys playing up from the year below) who now carry the belief of more success as they progress into the last 16 of the competition.
