Thursday 7th March saw over 50 Old Salopians, parents and friends of Shrewsbury School arrive on site to support our Lower Sixth as they navigated through a series of recruitment-based challenges.

As the world of work and recruitment processes continue to evolve, it is vital that Futures Department provides students with insights about what to expect in future application processes, and based on student feedback, this has been our most successful edition of what has now become an annual event.

Lower Sixth students who attended the event said: “I've only ever had one formal interview which certainly wasn't as intense as this. It's really good to see how interviews and tests will work in the real world so that I can prepare accordingly.

“I found the interviews to be very useful experience for the real thing. I also enjoyed and learnt about the use of body language in the communications workshop. The group activity also allowed me to think on my feet, having to come up with a present a presentation in the short time provided.”

I cannot thank all the professionals who supported this activity enough for the positive impact they made with the students.
