Old Salopians

In the lovely setting of Sherborne School cricket ground, Shrewsbury Saracens comfortably progressed to the second round of the Cricketer Cup with an impressive win over Sherborne Pilgrims.

Batting first the Saracens amassed a formidable total of 338 for 5, thanks to an unbeaten century by Ben Williams, ably supported by Jamie Crawley (87) and Morgan Bevans (54).

Sherborne Pilgrims made a spirited reply but never threatened to overhaul the Saracens' total and were all out for 243, with the wickets shared amongst all six Saracens bowlers.
