Shrewsbury
Sabrina Reunion Lunch and Regatta Victory

Crews from the 1990s gathered for lunch on the Sunday of the Shrewsbury Regatta.
Around 25 rowers from 1988 -2004 returned to School, many for the first time since they left. They were joined by notable former coaches- Mike Partridge who now lives in Australia, Martin Orviss who travelled from Scotland, Steve Fox who came up from Devon and Bill Sayers and Phil Lapage who still live locally.

This is the latest in a series of annual lunches for former members of the RSSBC which has provided a number of wonderful opportunities for Old Salopians to return to School and relive past victories and escapades on the river.
The day began with drinks on the lawn at Kingsland House under a clear, sunny sky.
After a delicious three-course lunch provided by the excellent Sodexo crew who run all the catering in KH, guests walked down to the river.
Earlier in the day, several reunion attendees formed a rowing eight and, despite not having rowed together in years, triumphed in their race against Pengwern Boat Club.
A four made up of Jonathan and Ali Davies, Adam Pattenden and Peter Rostokin also took part in the racing wearing Sabrina colours.
The reunion attendees gathered at the Boat House for tea. This provided an ideal vantage point to watch additional races, support the school crews, and bask in the lovely weather by the river.
Many thanks to Sabrina President Charles Wright and the Sabrina Committee for organising these highly successful events.
